East River and its member systems provide information on energy and its efficient use to member/consumers and the general public. Electricity is the energy that powers our modern society. It is generated through various means: the combustion of fossil fuels, capture of energy from hydropower and wind, nuclear generation, solar energy and fuel cells. As cooperatively owned electric power suppliers, our focus is on providing accurate information on appropriate uses of electricity for our members' needs and uses.
