Investing Today for a Smarter Tomorrow
This report highlights the value applied to East River Electric and its member systems by investing in ways to continue to offer reliable service while creating a smarter tomorrow.
Examples of this include capitalizing upon proven investments in technology to advance a smarter grid initiative as well as projects included in the East River 2011-2014 Construction Work Plan and Long Range Engineering Plan. We also discuss work being done to accommodate system-wide load growth, as well as the System Replacement Initiative and reliability improvement projects.
The report also details the organization of the South Dakota Wind Partners, the ways East River has committed itself to our communities, engaged ourselves in legislative and regulatory issues and invested in energy efficiency projects including energy audits. Finally, a summary of the 2010 financial report is provided.
